I absolutely enjoyed this game. The hidden object scenes are beautiful, crisp, clear, & bright. Some of the scenes are very cluttered but its honestly so beautiful that I didnt mind that at all. The music is cheerful holiday music, never felt the need to mute my speakers. There are snowmen hidden in each scene, find them to score extra points. There are mini games woven throughout, match 2, spot the differences, and more. Even the cut scenes are beautifully made. The hint button recharges quickly. The only complaint I have is a tiny one. When asked to find a purse in one of the scenes, there are 2 purses in plain sight, but click them and get nothing, what they called a purse actually turned out to be a hip pouch on an elf. The game offers just enough challenge with some of the objects being hidden behind other things or inside of other things. So you'll need to pan the scene and look for your cursor to turn into a magnifying glass. This is a very well made game, which I enjoyed a lot & will be purchasing right after this review. And if youre having a bad day ( like I was today), this game will surely lift your spirits. Highly recommend.
This is a hidden object game with some puzzles perfect for this time of the year. A very bright and cheery game that may be on the simple side for those who like adventure style games but to my mind this game is listed by BF as a hidden object game and so on that basis it delivers. The scenes are packed with detail and you have casual and expert modes to choose to play. Music in the background is in line with the festive theme. The scenes for me were a bit cluttered and I found some objects to be a bit on the small side but not impossible to find. There is a timer but you can still play the game even after it expires. You can earn more points the faster you finish a scene. There are also bonus points for finding extra hidden Christmas objects like a snowman or Santa. I believe this game should be judged fairly on what it wants to deliver and not to be judged on the many wonderful and not so wonderful Collector?s Editions that have been released recently. Is it mainly for children? Probably but there are some stressed or time challenged people who do not have hours to play everyday and perhaps can be enjoyed in short spells for those people. SE games like this fills a void and are not to everyone?s taste. I?m sure many will sniff at this game and compare it to CE games that are touted with loads of bells and whistles but a SE game like this appeals to some people, especially people who don?t like dark games as so many games now have missing children, missing girlfriends/ boyfriends, terrorised villages etc. The world would be a dull place indeed if everyone only liked one type of game. Will I buy this game for myself? No, to be honest this is not my type of game but I will be buying this for my cousins who will definitely like it and maybe for my grandmother too as she hates dark games. As ever. Please decide for yourselves and take advantage of BF free trial. I will recommend this game for those hidden object lovers but young and those young at heart. My rating if there were half-st
While I agree with the other reviewers that some things are hard to find, I am thouroughly enjoying this game. Granted, the other two Christmas Wonderland games are better, but this one is different, which it should be. I only hope that there's a 4th, 5th etc.
Funny reading the reviews, how different us gamers are. I own the first 2 of these. Was really happy to see a 3rd. I didn't find the HOS too crowded at all. Sure, some things were challenging to find, and time expired on me more than once. However, do you really want to purchase a game you can ace in no time at all? I enjoyed that this one was different, as game one is from game two. I'm glad they put out a 3rd. To the people that thought the kids were "zombie like", they are just growing thruout the series. I looked odd as a teen too :) If you like the other games, then I recommend this one too.
This is the holiday season - I want relaxation, color, fantasy, good humor and this game delivers! Love it. Amazing details in the winter wonderland-type pictures. Looking forward to playing it more than I already have.
I'm not sure what some of these reviewers are talking about. The graphics are some of the best I have seen in Big Fish games -- clean, crisp, clear. Yes, in each scene there are a lot of items, but they are not in "junk piles". Some of the objects are challenging to find (that's why it's called "hidden object game"), but the hint button refreshes in seconds. I hate timed games and, yes, there is a timer, but if time runs out you just don't get points, but you can continue finding objects. Maybe some of these negative reviewers just don't like Christmas and their negative reviews are a vendetta against those of us who get what Christmas is about. They probably didn't even play the game, but because it had the word "Christmas" in the title, it must be bad and they must avenge it. It is a beautiful game. The music, which does include Christmas carols, is clear and well done. And, P.S., I am playing this game in April.
This game is what family entertainment is all about
A great HO game. This is what I am looking for in other HO games. The good "ole" fashion HO. I don't know how anyone can give this game one star, to me these people are the ones that want the strategy guides, walk throughs, blogs etc. things that play the game for you; why bother playing. Anyway the is a delightful wonderful game for the whole family to enjoy. There is nothing difficult about this game, hints are quick and you can find the HO's....you have to LOOK for them! Thats what a good HO is all about. More of this type of HO's PLEASE! More good "ole" games.
Excellent game put me in the Chritmas spirit! So many things look through you really had to forcus but that is what Christmas is really about right! Love this game took 2 days to finish very relaxing! Love it! I am a Big Fish fan since this site started 3 fins up! :}
I really enjoy this series. They're fun, good-time games! In Wonderland 3 the graphics are very clear, although a lot of the objects are quite tiny, and you do have to run the cursor over the screen to find the objects hidden behind or inside things. The cursor changes to a magnifying glass. And that little snowman in each scene can be pretty elusive. I really can't address the sound quality as I generallly don't use my speakers. One thing I have to agree with from another reviewer is the fact that the kids DO look a little like zombies. They seem to be lacking much needed rest!
