Patience is a virtue - and you need bucketloads of virtue to play this game. It is HOG - heavy. Hidden Object Games all the time, except when there is an occasional "find the difference" game. The items listed to find are either "words" or "silhouettes". Generally, I counted playing an HOG 3x at each location. It seemed like a lot more but I'm sure it was only 3x. There is a lot of conversation going on among the characters (all very cute, and sometimes neurotic, animals). But, I guess it's needed in this particular game. You are a "little mousy" who aspires to be a great cook. But, the cat chef will not teach you unless you find all the chapters to the mysterious cookbook. In order to find these chapters, you are sent around town to various locations such as a bakery, pizzeria, etc. Once at these locations, the character/animal and you have a conversation and the little mousy ends up doing a "quest" (searching for something, helping to clean up, etc.). This is done by playing the HOGs. During the hour demo, I found one incomplete chapter and the missing pages. I met a pigeon, snarky feline, a fish (whom I saved from being the snarky feline's meal) and others. Depending on the number of chapters in this mysterious cookbook, this game could on for a lifetime or 2, what with a-l-l-l the conversations and HOGs. We are not given a clue as to the number of chapters. This game was tedious, monotonous and the longest hour I've played in a while. I hate to NOT finish a demo. How can you review something you haven't spent the entire time playing? The music was more Italian Bistro than French Cafe (the main character - the cat chef - is supposed to be a French Chef) and it would have be nicer if it changed with each location you went to. Also, if the characters/animals had voices. This game just had so many boring attributes it's not a buy for me. But, I will recommend it for children and those who have never played this genr
The graphics of the shapes are not clear enough. No option to play in relax mode. This could be a fun game if the options were available. I will not recommend this game at this point.
All characters are animals. You are trying to learn to be a chef and must locate ingredients and help your new friends. It's not tough at all and plot is obvious, but it's a nice relaxing game. I've played it more than any other one of its type.
It is pretty boring no challenge to it.
I only played the 1 hour. Its a fun game and relaxing even though it is timed because the objects were not that hard for me to find. The pictures are nice and the story is fun. I will get this on a 2.99 special or a credit. Its a fun game when you don't have a lot to do. I work nights so its a nice game without a lot of thought. Maybe it is because I am older but I just don't need a lot of excitement anymore, but I did enjoy it.
Not good, not bad. I don't like searching for the outlines of objects because they usually tend to be difficult as you sometimes don't know if it's a bowl or a turtle, etc. Also they ask for a can & it was a glass jar, then a pot & it was a pitcher, tends to confuse you & forces you to use a hint. I did crack up when I saw the look on the dogs face though!
I absolutely hate the hidden object games that delve into the dark worlds, curses, spirits - no thank you. And I dislike those that have you finding an object in one area and then backtracking here, there, everywhere to use it - I don't have the patience and find them irritating. This game I liked because it's relaxing, I like the music, and the story is cute, and while most hidden objects are relatively easy to find, there were some in which I ran out of time on. You collect cheese to earn hints. The storyline bounces from one character to another and in each of the 20 scenes you are generally looking for ingredients - once from a list, then another round from shapes of the items. There are mini-games tucked into the mix. It has taken me about a week to complete it working on it a couple hours a night before bed. I would love to see more games like this. Thank You - it was an enjoyable game.
