I love the Chocolatier series and thought it would be fun to get this variation. It is a true time management game whereas the series is not. I've just started playing and have made it to 4 locations -- with a lot of frustration. The game starts out relatively easy but then it suddenly becomes extremely difficult to complete the levels in each location. I have played the last level in the 4th location at least 15 times and can't beat it and I'm great at time management games. That's when this game went from fun to frustrating, hence the "good" rating for the Fun Factor. I tried the 1 hour trial, thought it would be fun and decided to get it. The trial wasn't long enough to reveal the extreme challenge of this game. I might have had second thoughts if that had been the case. Despite this, I do recommend this game for serious time management gamers.
This is not your typical Beaumeister Confections game. This is time management. I'm a huge fan of the Chocolatier series of games, so I have a little weakness for the theme. This game makes me crave chocolates! That aside, this game is deceptively easy to start but really becomes challenging almost to the point of throwing up your hands and calling it a day towards the end levels. I recommend it for it's length (lots of levels = great value for the money) and for it's challenge toward the second half of the game. A love for chocolate also helps.
Great job guys beattiful arts.
you serve people choc, and i love chocolate, this was a great game, more for the people who like server/waitress games.
I love this game! It is just like Diner Dash but with Chocolate. Fast Pace game there is not a lot of waiting time between the click of the mouse like other games. If you love the Diner Dash series you will love this game.
Don't be fooled. This is not Chocolatier. It's nice to see Evelyn Baumeister. And it's nice to go to the different locations. But the wonderful thing about Chocolatier as it developed was that you could be creative and make your own decisions and your own recipes. This is not that game in any way. This is time management restaurant service. It's a lot like Jane's Hotel. (And it's a good version of Jane's Hotel.) I like the artwork. I like the different customers. It's challenging. As you continue through the levels it becomes impossible though. At my current level, though I don't lose any customers (no small feat), I still fail the level on points and an am continually facing a row of furious customers with no chance of getting their orders before they walk. (They get increasingly enraged as the clock ticks.) It's kind of like serving alligators. And if you screw up once (which is fairly inevitable) there's no point completing the round. You just start over or keep playing pointlessly with a feeling of discouragement.
I'm writing this to clear up all the bad ratings. If this was choclatier 4, it would first of all say choclatier somewhere in the title. This game is showing you what happened before the choclatier series. That's why the breif discription is " A TWIST on the series" Personally I love this game and am glad they have joined one of my favourite games with my favourite genre. :D
I loved this game. I am a lover of time management games and this is on of the best. Whoever loved the Cake Mania games will love this one. It is even better. The game has 60 levels plus an endless mode and is increasingly challenging to the end. Don't miss this one if you love time management. The bad reviews are only bad because people compared it to the Chocolatier games, but they cannot be compared. I loved the Chocolatier games as well, but whoever is looking for a sequel of the Chocolatier series, is wrong here.
A real disappointing follow up to the chocolatier series. None of the skill or fun of the first three, this is just dashing around from one place to another serving customers. No more buying and budgeting, no travelling to search for ingredients - this is a poor cheap follow up game which will leave all chocolatier fans truly dissapointed.
If you like cake mania then this is the game for you
